Got wi-fi on your mind?
May 21st, 2007I really did wrestle with whether to blog about this one but decided that it would be interesting to gauge both the power of the media as well as school reaction.
A key issue on the BBC’s Panorama programme tonight centers around the UK Government setting their safety standards by the thermal effects of microwave radiation - ie. the level at which a heating effect is experienced.
Many other countries set their levels by the INCIRP standard however and experts are saying that the UK Govt is wrong to set their standards just by thermal levels alone and consequently our safety threshold is much higher by this measure.
There are plenty of sources out there where you can get more answers to your wi-fi questions if you have them.
So the big question is…
Did the Panorama programme make you think twice about wi-fi? If it did and you’ve got 2 minutes you can spare, please leave a reply.
